I am an avid FSX flight simmer and looking to upgrade my computer. I am currently running an Alienware M14x R1 so it's getting a bit outdated. I'm not sure if there are many simmers on this forum but a couple things. First, AMD is unfortunately not an option for FSX, graphics cards or proccesors so Intel and Nvidia are where I am going. Something about the new AMD drivers screwing up stuff. My budget is $1500 dollars including my screen and OS but I am willing to go over a bit if need be. FSX is a very proccesor heavy application but I think the i5 should be able to handle it. I was going to go with the 4770K but it just doesn't really fit into my budget. Also, I do play other games such as Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty Mw3 etc. so I was originally looking at the GTX 780 becaue of it's supremacy over the 770 but again it didn't really fit my budget. FSX was written as a 32 bit application which means it can only adress 3-4 Gigs of RAM. Umm, other than that, I am open to all suggestions! Thanks!! Oh btw the link on the top is what I am currently looking at and I don't plan on purchasing this until the end of August so if Broadwell is out by than I might want to switch for that?? Thanks again!

I would go WD black. It's a bit louder and more expensive but it's faster. Otherwise looks great.
