first build ever help pls

Are my eyes deceiving me and 7900XTX is out of stock for the first time? Crazy. 9070/XT delays and disappointing 50 release and threat of tariffs really has everyone buying the old stuff now. I've put a placeholder $960 for what the 7900XTX should be going for when it's back in stock soon:

Budget (including currency): 2400 usd

Country: Usa

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: mostly games usually simulation games and 4x grand strategy games

Other details so i have peripherals already so im good on that and i already have an idea of what cpu and gpu i want which is the Radeon 7900 xtx or xt im not entirely sure and the Ryzen 7 9800 x3d everything else is in the air and if anyone wants to recommend on the cpu and gpu im open to better choices im only gonna do one monitor at 1080p right now but will more than likely upgrade to 2 or 3 1440p monitors in the future and also im grabbing all of this from micro center if that helps also will not even entertain the idea of water cooling cause i think its just way to much extra and extra work

I'd go with a 4080, the NVidia software is nice for sim gaming, and you have the budget for the additional $200 over a 7900XTX

5080 is vaporhardware as of now, and isn't really that faster than 4080 anyway

Smt like @PDifolco suggested is a strong suggestion

What I made is mostly an aesthetic all white build as well

A more hybrid build of mine and the one from @PDifolco would be smt like this

Above recommendations are solid. If you're shopping at Micro Center I'd wait until the 9800X3D is restocked, as they'll sell it to you for $479 instead of the up-charged reseller prices you see online. You'll also get a discount for bundling CPU, Mobo, and RAM. Sometimes a discount for bundling the graphics card as well. Always check the "Sold by Amazon" price for parts you want to buy, as Micro Center will typically price-match them.

EDIT: Also I have used Micro Center's in-house brand NVME drives, Inland, and they have been great for the price. Though you aren't strapped for cash so maybe that doesn't matter. The Inland Performance Plus is a good value NVME drive.

GAMING PC "Ol' Bessie":

Ryzen 7 7800X3D | Radeon RX 6950 XT | Gigabyte B650M AORUS Elite AX | G.Skill Flare X5 6000MT/s CL36 16GBx2 | 5TB of SSD POWER | EVGA SuperNOVA 850W GT | Noctua NH-U14S | Fractal Design Pop! Mini Air | Windows 11 Pro

Kind Of A Home Lab "Bay":

Ryzen 5 3600 | Intel ARC A310 | ASUS PRIME B550-PLUS | T-FORCE 3200MT/s 16GBx2 | 2TB boot SSD + 8TBx6 HDD RaidZ2 | EVGA SuperNOVA 650W G2 | Phanteks Enthoo Pro M | Ubuntu 24.04 LTS

The Laptop:

my micro center currently isnt out of stock cause i was looking at the 7800 but its way to much but the 9800 is 20 bucks more and its better as far as i understand so i was like why not get an am5 modern cpu for 20 more than the best bang for your buck gaming cpu and ill have to check out the inland and see if i like it cause if its good for a lower price that means i could possibly put it somewhere else
