A friend been wanting a sitstand desk, but he wants it to have 4 legs, for stability.
From all the sitstand available here so far Idasen is the most stable, atleast when it's about back and forth motion, sideways, not so.

And the 4 legged sitstand base available are either affordable chinesium with very weak motor... like so damn slow even without a tabletop, or a very expensive chinesium which motor is standard (from the pics, it's methink basically what idea in my mind below, just better designed look wise etc, and less janky DIY in cabling or stuff)

After looking at the system used for a lot of sitstand table available here, which is what looks to me like RJ45 connector for connection between the control hub to the motor/controller I thought .... what if he buys two of the same brand & model sitstand base, then use an RJ45 splitter to connect 1 control hub to both bases control system.

My logic says it should send signal for raise/lower at the same time to both control system, and therefore raising/lowering both base at the same time.

then use the two base for the same tabletop.

Dumb idea ?

If it's really that simple of a system, your idea should work.

Well, based on what I see in my Ikea Idasen, and a bunch of chinesium dual-motor sitstand desk irl :

2 Boxes, on each leg (This is the control box / system)

2 Motors, each connected to the box, either inside the legs, in the boxes, or exposed near the box

1 remote controller

Taking example from my Idasen.

- One of the box has the marking "Master" , it has 6 pin molex port (like GPU power port, just different key shape), a 2-pin molex header, and what looks to me an RJ45 port.

- The other box only has a 6-pin molex port.

- The two boxes are connected to each other through a male-to-male 6pin molex cable

- The power supply for the table connected to the 2pin port on the Master

- The remote controller is connected to the RJ45 port on the Master

Idasen Sitstand manual, quite detailed pictures, cabling section starts from page 13 :

Here's another of Ikea's sitstand table, Mittzon, cabling section starts from page 13 :

Different desk, but looks quite similar system to me
