Witch RAM should I keep?
1 hour ago, Tumidend65 said:Hi, I have recently decided to uppgrade my aging CPU in lue of windows 10 not beeing supported at the end of the year.
So I bought new ram (TEAMGROUP T-Create expert),motherboard (gigabyte B650 eagle) and CPU (ryzen 5 7600).
So, I build it, and it dosent boot, at first it looks like a RAM problem, I bring it to a shop and sure enough they say this specific RAM moduel is not supported by this motherboard (as you can check on there site) so I order some Corsair Vengence moduels, witch are on the supported list.
Witch brings me to my problem, at first even the Corsair RAM did not work, but thanks to a freind I was able to fix the issue buy flushing the CIMOS and putting in one stick at a time witch this time worked.
The problem is, it worked olso with my original RAM kit, so the question is, how much should I worry about the fact that this ram kit is not supported? should I expect instability in the future? becouse not only is the original kit a bit better (cl30 insted of cl36) but olso the corsair kit would be cheaper to send back (I bought the teamgroup ram off a local online ritalier and the corsair from amazon).
What do you guys think? I have never had much experince with this issue, thank you in advance for your time.
I've never once bought kits that are actually on the list, they tend to only test a tiny amount of kits available at motherboard launch and then never update it with newer, larger, kits.
You are right, the CL30 kit should be slightly better performance than the CL36.
