Which Graphics Driver to Install?

Go to solution Solved by starsmine,

Always the newest non beta driver unless you have a problem with it.

Hi, I'll keep this short and simple, So i downloaded this game from steam called Polygon and when i opened it i got this on my screen

"Warning: Known issue with graphics driver

Please install either the latest or the recommended driver version."

Then they gave a link to Intel website where you can download drivers from and below they gave drivers version which was installed and the one recommended.

Installed: 25.20.100.6519

Recommended: 30.0.101.1340

when i searched for it i found a link on another forum, before i could download it i saw this written there "A newer version of this software is available, which includes functional and security updates. Customers should CLICK HERE to update to the latest version."

OLD Version

i clicked and it took me to another intel site where the latest version was available.  New Version

Now i am confused which one should i download the old one recommended by the game or the new one.

To make matters worse i found another graphic driver which seems to be the latest one and compatible with my cpu and graphics, it is the first result on the intel graphics driver site.

Download and install Intel® Driver & Support Assistant (Intel® DSA) : https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html

It will automatically detect the Intel drivers you have and suggest the right drivers for you.

Generally I would agree with the latest (NON BETA) driver, but previously I have had issues in certain very specific situations with certain dates of drivers. If i try to use 1-3 relatively new drivesrs, then I'll try and go back 6 months - 1.5 years for a driver just so I can rule out driver issues.
