I honestly have no idea why it got to 5.3ghz when it’s max is 4.1ghz, was just watching discovery after I restarted hw

64gb ram

Ryzen 5700x3d

x570 asus tuf WiFi plus mobo

Asus Rtx 3060 oc

Also when I installed the cpu it ran at 4ghz instead of the 3.2 base clock

I hope that was enough information

It's a well known glitch: those peak boost numbers have always been really sketchy in HWMon.... especially on software first load.

I've seen my 7800X3D allegedly boosting to >6Ghz (really 5.1-5.2Ghz max).... and apparently my old 5900X workstation, which admittedly had a very aggressive OC.... but according to HWmonPro had been able to boost to 8Ghz at some point! I was on air cooling at the time.

This will reset the glitches that often come in as you start the app... after that it is normally a lot more reliable..... but even then you'll see the odd glitch.
