Hi everyone,

I've recently noticed that my laptop is running games at around 30 fps, no matter what settings I adjust in the game. Initially, I thought the issue might be that the laptop wasn't plugged into the AC adapter, but that’s not the case, the laptop is always connected to power. The GPU also stays at full load, even when playing less demanding games.

I initially suspected malware, so I performed a clean installation of Windows, but the issue persisted.

I ran a FurMark benchmark and received a score of around 1200 frames (20 fps) for both OpenGL and Vulkan.

I'm running out of ideas and would appreciate any suggestions on what to check next to determine if my GPU is faulty.

I’ve already updated the drivers using GeForce Experience and have been monitoring the GPU load and fps using MSI Afterburner.

My laptop specs are as follows:

  • Model: Legion 5 15ACH6H
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800H
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
  • RAM: 16GB

Please let me know if there’s any additional information I can provide, kinda noob here!

take a look in the sensors tab of gpuz, see if anything is actually happening on the gpu.

cuz while furmark may report 100% utilization on the 3060, the max clock of the radeon igpu seems suspiciously high

Im clueless here, but the the video engine load should be different then 0 when running the benchmark right?
here is the sensors data running the benchmark in furmark and on idle.

yea theres definitely something going on right here, its running on the gpu as it should but its limited to 46w where its supposed to go up to 130w.

can you show me your msi afterburner settings?

I actually haven't mess around too much with the config, only have used it to keep track of the fps and temps of the laptop.

its weird that the gpu reports full load but the temps are low and stable, im using the original ac adapter of 300w maybe that's the reason, i tried without the adaptar and i got even lower fps...

what i wanna look at is what the gpu's power is set at, there isnt any info regarding it in the file you gave me, but since youre saying you didnt mess with it ill assume its at stock settings
