You're going to have to tell us what it has before we can help you with upgrades

As for Minecraft, unless you're using non-vanilla shaders, pretty much anything can get that kind of frame rate

Ryzen 7 5700X3D (-30 CO all-core) w/ cheap 6-pipe cooler - Gigabyte AX370-Gaming 5 - LPX 2x16GB 3600C18 2R - EVGA RTX 3070 8G XC3 PX1 - Patriot VPN110 1TB -  MSI A750GL - and a dogshit Sharkoon ATX case

Asus ROG G531GT : i7-9750H (-200 Vcore) - GTX 1650M +700mem - Samsung 16+8GB 2666 - 1920x1080@145Hz (172Hz) IPS panel

i5-6400 @4.3GHz (160 bclk) w/ Assassin King 120SE - Z170M-Plus - G.Skill 2x8GB 3200 C16 - Biostar RX 570 8G w/ MSI Armor cooler

i5-4690K + Z97-AR + Panram Blue Lightsaber 2x4GB PC3-2800

iMac 21.5" (late 2011) : i5-2400S, HD 6750M 512MB - Samsung 4x4GB PC3-1333 - WT200 512G SSD (High Sierra) - 1920x1080@60 LCD

I looked up the PC on https://veno-scorp.co.uk and the hardware in this PC is old and slow.

The CPU is 14 years old and of the lowest tier back then.  The GPU is also very slow.

This computer is not worth upgrading in my opinion.  Its a total waste of cash.

They even list that it would only run Minecraft at around 40 fps on 1080p lowest performance settings on their website.

This is very far from your 144-165 fps target.

If you are able to save up £560  you can get a PC that absolutely demolishes that PC.

I am sorry to be this harsh towards this computer. I know its a gift and that is very kind of whoever gifted it. But its not worth upgrading.

Think about it.  There is a reason it is only 250 euros in cost.

Okay, this thing might not do 165 fps consistently. Unfortunately, these shiny RGB computers with weak parts are basically a scam.

For 250 quid you're better off hunting for used parts, honestly. (Probably end up with a 6th gen i5 and an RX 580 which is miles better)

Personally I would return this ASAP.

I know... Why it cost this much I dont know.. Its borderline scam for the parts in it.

The parts are scrap value at this point.  You are only paying for the case / RGB and they make a few bucks of it too.

As Linus has demonstrated plenty of times.  Getting bottom tier PC's is awful value for money and just going double in price won't just double the performance but in many cases it would triple or even quadruple it.

I know its a big ask for people to double the money on something even on a budget.

Again, I am very sorry to be this harsh towards a gifted item.

Would there be any use in upgrading each individual part as time goes on ?

Unfortunately no.  What is in this system is so old its not worth it.

There is very little upgrade path in terms of CPU's and you would have to get a new motherboard + CPU and most likely new DDR4 RAM since this system uses old DDR3 ( We have moved to DDR5 already )

You might find an I7-2600k but again... This is a 14 year old CPU.

We don't even know the power supply and for that price I would imagine is very poor and very low wattage so it wouldn't really handle a more powerful CPU and GPU combo.

Its probably a sketchy Apevia PSU or something.

I hate to say this but this computer should just be forgotten.

I can go more indepth tomorrow and explain further.

But its 3AM and I need sleep.
