Need help with RAM

Budget (including currency): ~200 USD (a little more would be OK, not really a hard limit)

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, including AAA games and online shooters. Also WFH, but it's all remote desktop so my specs don't matter for that.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): 

 

 

Instead of listing my specs, ^ there's a screenshot of HWINFO.

I'm looking to upgrade my RAM, hopefully to 32GB. My problem is that I am a noob when it comes to what all those numbers mean for RAM besides speed. I don't understand why I'm not getting my full 2333mHz when I've enabled resizable BAR. My mobo is supposedly good for it.

 

Anyways, after doing some testing, I've noticed that my system RAM routinely gets close to full when playing even Fortnite and it may be the reason for my crashes in FFXVI. 

 

Any explanation of what the numbers under the "Memory Modules" section mean and what numbers are good would be greatly appreciated.

You RAM is running at 1066Mhz so you have to enable XMP in the BIOS.

 

As you can see it says 1600 so 1600x2 = 3200Mhz.

DDR in DDR4 RAM stands for Double Data Rate

This is your RAM's overclock setting.

Have you tried enabling amd EXPO(amd's version of XMP)? It's basically over clocking the ram and is required to reach a ram kit's advertised speed.

youll be able to get both a 5700x3d (150$ on aliexpress) and an upgrade to 32gb of ram with that budget

 

regarding ram just buy the absolute cheapest 32gb kit that is rated for either 3200c16 or 3600c18 and thatll be good enough, x3d doesnt care too much about ram so tuning isnt going to be as benificial compared to a non x3d chip but im pretty sure there is still some minor benifit

 

if you want something faster then youll be diving into ram tuning, itll usually be cheaper given you buy good oem sticks and not some garbage high bin xmp that wont be of any use till 5000+
