Hi,

Hope you're all doing well!

I'm looking to replace the SSD in my laptops and could use some expert opinions from my tech-savvy people. I want an SSD that is greatly fit for my professional ambitions.

To get started, I need to know the exact model of my current SSD.

Could you please share how I can easily determine my SSD model?

Once I have the model, I'd appreciate your advice on:

  • Choosing a suitable replacement: What factors should I consider (speed, capacity, compatibility)?

  • Estimated replacement cost: A rough idea of the cost of the new SSD and potential labor costs for installation.

  • Any potential pitfalls or things to watch out for during the process.

I'm not very tech-savvy myself, so any clear and concise guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best,

Mostly capacity, i.e. how much do you need? As long as you select one that's compatible with the laptop, it should just work.

Easiest way to find compatible upgrades is usually Crucial's website, e.g.

https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/acer/aspire-a315-51

Looks like the machine has a SATA SSD, not an NVMe. Doesn't mean you need buy from Crucial, but as long as you get one with the same connection (e.g. SATA 6 Gb/s) and same height (9.5 mm) it should be compatible.

Remember to either quote or @mention others, so they are notified of your reply

RAM Upgrade for Acer Aspire 3 A315-51-38 UI and Asus Vivobook X1502ZA

Hi,

I hope this message finds you well.

Can you confirm with certainty what is the maximum amount of RAM available for this laptop? (it has 4 RAM but how much more can be added). I read somewhere 12, but in another place I saw 20 in total. Which is it? Acer A315-51-38 UI, Acer Aspire 3 Can you confirm with certainty that for this specific model, the following RAM model will be relevant? (Does it support both laptops: DDR4 2666MHz??)https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335172247800?var=544413395453

If you have 8GB/16GB compatible with the above model. Please confirm with certainty if the same RAM model will also fit my other laptop. Asus Vivobook X1502ZA

What is the price and where and when could I get this model applied by you on my laptop? And if the RAM model is also compatible with this model >> Acer Aspire A315 - 34 [URL-ul nevalid a fost eliminat] <<< photos from the back of the laptop with their labels. Similarly, someone suggested me a 3200Mhz RAM... and now I don't understand at all, isn't it a frequency for a laptop or are there more? Can you check more precisely please, if what I'm asking is relevant and possibly, maybe with the images I sent.

I have 3 laptops, and I want to work on all three. Asus is the base, but I don't have the money to upgrade them all yet. I put something on Asus and then move to the others when I put something higher on Asus than 8. For now I want to take e.g. just x1 8 to see how it works.

Can you check what frequency would be suitable and would work on all three. Acer Aspire A315 - 34 cannot get more than 2133 Mhz (somebody told; he also told but I don't think it goes there about 2400 despite that website says so...it also depends on the motherboard manufacturer).

Also somebody said that this has incorporated 4 and max can take another 4, Acer Aspire A315-34. Is that so? You can consult the images above. Asus writes 2 out of 2 slots.

Can I add another module or not? If not, how is it that it already has 8, it has them in 2 placed separately. Or maybe I don't understand something correctly. Similarly, with the second Acer there it only says 1/1, can it receive another module or not? Can I add RAM to the second Acer based on the photo I took or not? Let me know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
