I am keeping my BF550 F gaming

This looks like a typo, so just to confirm, is this the board you have?

Which one? There are a ton of them, some are really good, some I wouldn't trust to stop a door let alone power a computer, and it is important to know where on the spectrum yours lies.

Will I have enough power and compatibility for all this to work?

Depends on the answers to the two questions above. Assuming it's one of the good PSUs and it is the board I linked, yes you will only need a BIOS update, but knowing those two things for certain would be necessary to give a confident answer.

Yes that is the correct motherboard and it is a corsair 850x modeler PSU and would o need to update my bios then apply the upgrades?

This one?

Assuming yes, then yeah that's one of the good ones, you'll be fine with it.

Yes, that's the order I'd do it in. Technically, your motherboard has BIOS flashback, so you could do the full system upgrade then do the BIOS flash with a flash drive instead, though BIOS flashback is usually a bit more finnicky to get working, takes longer, and doesn't have any visual indication it's working properly, I'd try to do the BIOS update with the old CPU from within the BIOS itself. Still make a flash drive with the correct file structure to use with BIOS flashback just in case however.

Perfect thank you so much. And how would I make sure my flash drive is fine to work in the case of a flash. How long should I wait and shoukd I just unzip the bios on my USB?
