yeah they seem pretty great and for less. Apparently they last longer that Samsung drives so defiantly switching to that thanks for the Info. Very much appreciated.

I think I got a better Build now

Capture.PNG

Budget (including currency): #3000

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: High end gaming 1440p, streaming, blender, unity

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Just wanted to see if this is a good balanced build or is some of this over kill?

I'm upgrading from my 10 year old pc that's been tried and true but thanks to windows 11 requirements I'll have to upgrade that being said I'm probably do for a new pc anyway regardless.

Coming from a i7 4790k and a GTX 980. I have heard the buzz about the new AMD chips the 9800x3d and the 5080 coming out and want to replace my old hdd's with new nvme drives. Pretty sure I have balanced the new rig to my likening but just thought I would get a second opinion. Thanks in advance

Imo you are overpaying way too much for the cooler and SSDs, get a way cheaper but still very fast NM790. Considering your use case, you should really wait for 5090 to launch, so you can hopefully get a used 4090 for a reasonable price for the extra VRAM. You also don't need to pay for windows, just use an activator, pretty sure it uses generic keys, which are very much legal

ah i see so something like a Noctua NH-U12A would be good?

Although if you really want to water cool, pick up an air front thermalright. The aqua elite v3/v4 and the frozen notte seem to be the best(based on the 7800x3d, look up reviews before purchasing), but I'd recommend looking up reviews with the 9800x3d to see if they perform well enough.

If you are fine with air cooling, go with the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE. Much cheaper for close to the same performance.

As someone already said the 120 SE is the best cooler for the price, but if you really want an AIO for the looks, then you can get the liquid freezer 3 360 for only ~$100, I have one and it's great. Samsung SSDs are good, but also very overpriced

Yeah I looked into the liquid freezer 3 360 looks great defiantly gonna get that. As for the Samsung SSD's this there something just at relabel? I know having dram cache is something I should look for, and pci.e gen 3 is good enough for gaming. Just need one for the OS and one for Games. What other brands should I look for? The lexar NM790 has been very fast for me, loads an 18GB LLM in a couple of seconds, it doesn't have DRAM cache, but it has host memory buffer, so ig it uses the system ram for caching
