I've just sold my pc to my brother, and am now looking to buy a new one.

I have a budget of around 1500-1800 aud, (1123 usd), but I genuinely am not sure what parts to get.

I have a 240hz monitor, and I am looking to game on it and also do blender and cad softwares. Could someone please help me?

What existing components do you currently have (system specs) and what resolution is your monitor?

I would not go for Nvidia since at this budget AMD makes more sense plus you get more vram compared to its counterpart at a way better price. Only downside would be that ray tracing would be noticeably worse though I am assuming at this budget, you wouldn't care much.

That RAM is slow as molasses as in it's a obvious bottleneck.

CPU is overkill and that gpu is infamous for being dogshit at its price and performance. You can go for a better nvme and a psu brand.

Given nvidia track record, the prices for it are going to be outrageous. I doubt prices would change that much though I may be wrong. I would just stick to current gen stuff.
