Hello, after a few days after installing my setup into my new case, my pc suddenly shut off and now doesn't boot, when I tried to boot it back up no fans spin and the RGB/lights on the fans flash/glitch. I tried to boot it with only the cpu in and 1 stick of ram and noticed the cpu debug light on. The motherboard built on fan does spin, I also hear a noise like a whine type of noise but not sure where it is coming from

My pc Specs

Case - NZXT H6 Flow RGB

Motherboard - MSI Gaming plus x570

CPU - Ryzen 9 5900x

CPU Cooler - Noctua Nh-D15

PSU - Corsair Rm850x

RAM - 4x8gb Patriot Signature Premium DDR4 2666mhz

GPU - MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8GB GAMING X TRIO

Boot drive - WD Black 1TB SN750 NVMe

The wine almost makes me think somethings up with the PSU, not sure though. How old is it? Do you have a spare to test with?

Maybe check and see if you don't have a standoff on the case that is poking the back of the motherboard.?

I would think that would actually fry something rather than just not start but this seems odd..

had something similar and was indeed the NZXT case.... power button started malfunctioning within a week... regardless i recommend to return this case and buy a proper case like fractal or zeaginal etc.

good point but doesn't necessarily have to fry something could just be a short that stops it from booting (again i would just refrain from using NZXT products at this point)

You're probably right, I've honestly never really played with it.. haha

maybe just taking it out of the case and trying to turn it on might work.

I've had the case for few days but the parts I've had for a few years, roughly around 3 to 4 years I can double check see if a standoff is touching the psu or hand it out of the case to see if it works then, but I also think the noise more came from the psu itself

Edit - I had it running in the nzxt case for atleast 2days before this happened

Sounds like a PSU issue. do you have a spare to confirm this?

I do but I don't have all the cables for it and I'm missing a cable for it to test with the cpu connected

I do have another computer that I can test the psu in to see if it boots that one up or causes issues and if needed I can do a video of what's also happening if it would help
