NEED HELP WITH NEW CPU COOLING!!!

Hello, I've recently upgraded from AMD4 to AMD5. This means I upgraded the CPU, Motherboard, RAM, and cooler. My problem is my new CPU runs hot with the old and new cooler. I've re-pasted it and made sure all connections are right

Motherboard=MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI

CPU= AMD Ryzen 5 9600x

Cooler=upHere CPU Cooler Air, Dual Tower CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan, 6 Heat Pipes CPU Air Cooler for AM5/AM4/AM3, Cooler for PC Compatible with Intel LGA 1851/1700/1150/2011/2066/1151/1155/1156(White).

9600X is mean to run higher temps, it's by design.  AMD set AM5 to run as fast as it can handle.

 

If you want to tame it, go into BIOS and set PBO and Power/Temps limits.

Is that why my 7600x gets to 80 degrees with an AIO?

Yes.  My 7700x ran at 85 on a 360mm aio.  It's how they do.

Interesting, just feels a little hot considering its less power hungry but runs hotter than my 2600x

Cuz it's running balls out to give you all the goodness when you require it, as it is multiples more powerful than the 2600X.

 

Set your PBO and CO in BIOS< it will cool it a little and let it ramp up higher with less heat.

Is it worth it? Or just let it run as it is?

Definite benefit.  I saw a couple hundred all core MHz and a reduction in temps and wattage used.

My Ryzen 7 5700x used to be 30 idle, but now, with the new CPU, it's 50 idle. Under load, it has reached 80, and it's constantly at 75. But according to other users, it's because these new chips are supposed to run fast, which means hot.

Pretty easy, can't hurt anything...  couple easy settings.

Those are normal temps and nothing to worry about.
