I'm not sure if this is the right section to be posting this in, if not let me know and I'll try to move it.

I'm looking for a decent KVM that supports three monitors and two PCs.

I've found stuff like the AVAccess iDock D23 that looks promising, but has me a bit concerned since it's a "frequently returned" item on Amazon. But, in the ideal world it has all of the features I'm looking for.

- Support for three monitors at 144hz 1440p (minimum)

- Pass-through for at least 1GB networking (I don't do any home networking, so 1GB is enough for me)

(Pass-through networking isn't a requirement for me, I can always wire up a network switch)

But, I'm wondering if anyone else has experience with KVMs and might have a recommendation for one that meets the specs I'm looking for and is known to be a reliable device.

wire up a network switch.

past that, displayport KVM's can be quite touchy especially at high resolutions, which might explain a relatively high return rate... especially on a product that likely doesnt do the volumes required to offset that.

if you want something you want to be sure you can rely on, you're probably looking at Level1techs' KVM, but that thing costs 750 bucks, so it's likely outside your budget, and even then there's some talk over on their forum with regards to cable length, quality, and the resulting maximum bandwidth.

Update: I ended up purchasing the iDock D23 and it works flawlessly!

Honestly, with my past experiences with KVMs and drawbacks such as the speed at which they can switch between source systems, this KVM works really well for me. I can switch between PCs with only about a 1-3 second delay. It supports my monitors 165hz refresh rate just fine at 1440p, and all of the pass-through works as expected.
