Can anyone help me with my pc?

specs ryzen 7 5700x
32gb 3200mhz ram
3080
850w psu
asus prime b550-plus

I’m experiencing significant performance issues with my GPU, even after resetting Windows. Despite the system recognizing the GPU and booting normally, I’m facing the following problems:
1. Low GPU Performance:
After resetting Windows, my GPU performance remains terrible.
Games and other GPU-intensive tasks are laggy and slow, with noticeable stuttering and frame drops.
I’ve confirmed that the GPU is being recognized correctly by Windows (Device Manager and GPU monitoring tools show it is installed), but performance is far below expected levels.
2. Display Flickering:
The screen flickers intermittently, especially during graphically demanding tasks, making it difficult to use the PC properly.
I’ve tried different cables and monitors, but the issue persists.
3. No Driver Issues:
I’ve reinstalled GPU drivers using both the manufacturer’s software (e.g., NVIDIA GeForce Experience) and Device Manager, but the performance doesn’t improve.
I’ve also tried using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to completely remove old drivers before reinstalling, but the issue persists.
4. BIOS/Hardware Configuration:
I’ve attempted updating my BIOS to the latest version, but I cant with it saying wrong bios file
I suspect there could be a BIOS setting or hardware configuration issue affecting the GPU, but I’m unsure of where to look.
5. Possible Hardware Problems:
I’m concerned that the GPU itself might be faulty, though it is showing up in Device Manager.
There is also a possibility of issues with power delivery to the GPU or the PCIe slot not providing adequate bandwidth or power,
6. Other Symptoms:
The GPU temperature seems normal (no overheating), but the performance is still poor.
I’ve checked Task Manager, and the GPU is showing as being active, but performance is still degraded during heavy use.

Not to insult your intelligence, but just to check, you have made sure that your monitor is plugged into the gpu and not the mobo?

I would also check the power supply and connectors as well as to try reseating the GPU.

If you think it is a faulty gpu I would check the event viewer for any errors.
