Budget (including currency): Less than $200

Country: UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: BG3, Genshin Impact, occasionally autoCAD and similar 3D modelling softwares

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Current setup:

Ryzen 5 3600

geforce rtx 4060ti

b550m motherboard

16gb ddr4 ram

500gb m.2 ssd

1tb hdd

So i recently upgraded my gpu from a Radeon 570 as it was too slow and struggling to run anything semi decently ended up with 4060ti cause it was cheaper than 3060ti so figured i'd get the newer one. I use a 60hz 4k monitor thats just a pretty standard samsung monitor with no gaming particulary in mind but it works and looks pretty decent (to an untrained eye that is). I'm pretty sure my cpu is the most obvious bottleneck in the builds current state but debating weather or not it is actually worth upgrading, probably to a 5600x or similar sort of price range. For the most part everything runs smoothly on pretty good settings but can always strive for a better experience. Or even if it's worth switching over to intel or just getting a higher refresh rate monitor to get more out of my new gpu.

you should find good deals for zen 3 CPUs on ebay, any cooler that can handle a 3600x can handle a 5600x so dont worry about that. other than that you may feel a difference if you switch to a ssd only setup rather than a hybrid(whatever you do don't buy used storage though). if you want new then-

if you didn't cheep out when you bought your motherboard there should be a extra pciex4 slot for another SSD, in which you can put the 970 evo in. again, if you didn't cheap out you should have 4 ram slots in which you can plop another 2x8gb kit in for a total of 32gb. this is 20 pounds above what your limit is, but i think the 2 extra cores are worth it. if its not to you then swap out the 5700x for a 5600(x). which will bring the list under 200. the difference will only be noticeable during multitasking and your 3d modeling.

or you can throw everything out the window and spend your entire 200 budget on a 5700x3d.

cheapest zen 3 + cheapest good 2tb ssd.
