Install the nvidia app so you can get newest drivers, update bios frequently, don鈥檛 use Google chrome (I like opera gx but it isn鈥檛 for everyone.) there are more but they aren鈥檛 coming to mind.

I try to be a human, but I cannot, because I have returned to monke.

Go to Windows settings and run through Apps and Privacy and similar tabs, and uncheck anything you feel like you won't need.

Check if XMP/DOCP is on, if RAM is running at 3200Mhz.

Note: Users receive notifications after Mentions & Quotes.

Feel free: To ask any question, no matter what question it is, I will try to answer. I know a lot about PCs but not everything.

current PC:

Ryzen 5 5600 |16GB DDR4 3200Mhz | B450 | GTX 1080 ti [further details on my profile]

PC configs I used before:

  1. Pentium G4500 | 4GB/8GB DDR4 2133Mhz | H110 | GTX 1050
  2. Ryzen 3 1200 3,5Ghz / OC:4Ghz | 8GB DDR4 2133Mhz / 16GB 3200Mhz | B450 | GTX 1050
  3. Ryzen 3 1200 3,5Ghz | 16GB 3200Mhz | B450 | GTX 1080 ti

There are the more basic optimization things to do, like being sure there aren't a ton of apps running full time in your task tray, keeping the recycle bin emptied fairy regularly, making sure your new Windows install turned on the high refresh of your monitor in the display settings as it used to miss it sometimes. Just enjoy the new PC and don't worry too much about getting the highest fps, focus on getting a consistent fps, and that it's in the VRR target range for your display.聽

Good Luck and enjoy the new rig!
