ok... so basically one of the wireless routers broke, and we need a new one. don't know a budget. just what is good for price 2 performance or less... (the hd 7770 of routers)  basically... what is needs to do... is route a wireless signal... through a exterior wall (double thick brick wall) and a thinnish ceiling... (its going from an extension... to upstairs... it needs to support the 25mb down and 1.7mb up connection for people skyping... out other router just doesn't carry the signal very well... ok...

i think that is it. hope you can help. i want specific models. any more questions... just ask.

thanks in advance :)

The Rt-N66U is not what he is looking for. A decent N router would be able to handle that kind of trafice at half the cost.

@Froger96 what do you mean by extension? Is this router connected to another main router? If so you are looking for a wireless access point or wireless AP for short. I have had good experience with the Ruckus 7942 but you can only really get them on eBay.

it will be wired to the main router... just the main router isn't good enough to carry the signal strong enough for skype... so we need another one just to replace the wireless on the main router. it will basically be going in the floor right below where the people will be using it. only need it for about 4 devices... but normally only 1 or maybe rarely 2 on skype at a time. and it just has to either go through the floor. or go from our conservatory outside and up to the next floor.
