Does GPU manufacturer matter?

I'm looking to upgrade to a RX 7800 XT but I'm not sure which one to get. The cheapest one I can find right now is the Sapphire Pulse followed by the Asus Dual and Gigabyte. The Asus cost +$10 relative to the Sapphire and the Gigabyte is +$20. Is there a noticeable difference or should I just get the cheapest one?

It used to matter, but they've all pretty much reached the same bar over the last few years. I'd say RTX 3000 RX 6000 is probably the first generation where that's the case. RTX 4000 and RX 7000 really seems to not matter at all.

There's exceptions, and that's usually the super high end gucci cards. If EVGA was still in the market, it would be a different story as well. They made some genuinely impressive high end cards that I gravitated towards for a decade. Their 12VHPWR solution being to have it mounted on the end of the card, something none of the AIBs have done yet.

Not really. Only real difference is the cooler and some clockspeeds. You're looking at less than a millisecond of frametime difference here, especially in the price range you're talking about. Reliability is also a thing, but Sapphire, Asus, and Gigabyte are all reliable brands.

Don't tell me to upgrade. I would've done so if I could.

Check the warranty length, they can differ by a few years sometimes.

Gigabyte what?

The Pulse is usually a bit hotter than other cards at stock, but with a better noise profile. Asus Dual tends to be middle of the road, though I've seen some complaints that their revised Dual versions on the 4000 series are actually a downgrade on the old ones.

The Gigabyte cards are usually three fan versions and fairly long.
