Compressing Games

Go to solution Solved by Manny Calavera,

you dont need to download, if its in your library, its yours to keep

Hello,

I'm going to be building a gaming Pc and I am currently downloading a game that is FREE (you probably know which one) and I've tried to compress certain files using 7zip - only to realise that it barely reduces the size of the file.

I'm wondering whether converting the game files into an .ISO format will be OK to do, or if there is a way I can reduce a 20gig game file to something at least like 10-15 gigs because my ancient laptop is running out of space!

Also, I'm downloading the game to ensure that I have the files before the free offer for the game is up (3rd June 2014).

THANKS FOR ANY HELP/ REPLIES!  :)

if you "claimed" it, it will stay in your library untill they drop support, which i hope they wont soon.

i may add that most game files are compressed already, so you won't be able to significantly compress it further
