Nothing is working!?!?!

Okay so basically on my PC, I can either have the page file on and after a couple of hours of using the computer all 8gb of ram is being used and everything just lags, but my games wont crash every 20 minutes OR i have the page file off and games wont crash but it uses up all my ram after a few hours? I have no idea why all my ram is being used with the page file on? Any help is greatly appreciated.

i5 4670k @4.4ghz

MSI G45 Gaming motherboard

8gb corsair vengeance pro

Asus DirectCUII r9 290

Corsair RM750

At the moment i have malwarebytes, could you suggest any free antivirus software?

Sounds like a memory leak could be possible. What is your virtual memory limit?

EDIT: Also select it to automatically choose the paging file limit and restart

I use "Avast!" free and I think that's pretty good
