Hey. I am trying to port forward for a minecraft server, but it isn't working.

The ISP is saying that on their side the port is open, and I can see in my router settings that it is in fact open.

But the port is still closed when I try to open the server, or when i try to go to some port check website to test if it's open.

The ISP says they don't know how to help me because on their end it's open.

I tried creating inbound and outbound firewall rules to allow this port with UDP and TCP.

But nothing worked. What could be the issue?

any help is appretiated. thanks!

Is the machine running your Minecraft server set to a static IP address, and are the port forwarding rules set to that address?

If that PC has a software firewall, is that set to allow inbound traffic on those ports?

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

is isn't exactly static I don't think but the port forwarding is set using a dropdown list of all devices and I set it to be the computer that runs the server, and the local address of the computer seems to not change.

There is no software firewall, only the windows 11 firewall which I've set rules for allowing the port for UDP or TCP in the inbound and outbound rules.

I would do some research on your ISP. Find out if they do or do not block ports used for a homebrew server.
