Advice on a new Mech Keyboard

Redliquid

As the title suggest i am curious about getting a new mechanical keyboard and if you feel like you have an opinion, suggestion or advice about it, then feel free to post it  :D

I am looking for a keyboard with

  • Blue Switches

  • Backlit Keyboard (not blue light)

  • Portable and small would be nice

Thanks in forehand friends  :)

PS: I think i saw Linus do a review of a keyboard that automatically spammed the key for you if you just held it down,
Does annyone know more about this?

Neither are mechanical and yet are priced as if they are. OP, please don't get these :P

The "spamming" you refer to is the rate of repeat in the keyboard. This is found in Ducky Shine 3 keyboards and the new Cooler Master Rapid-i keyboard. Both come in tenkeyless (I assume this is what you meant by small).

I believe Cooler Master only comes in brown switches and white backlight:

The Ducky Shine 3 lets you mix and match as much as you may want:

orange backlight - http://www.ncix.com/detail/ducky-dk9087-shine-3-mx-b7-90655-1016.htm

purple - http://www.ncix.com/detail/ducky-dk9087-shine-3-mx-b7-90653.htm

red - http://www.ncix.com/detail/ducky-dk9087-shine-3-mx-b7-90654.htm

There's also white, blue and green but couldn't find those in stock.

Here's another alternative, Max Blackbird, but doesn't have the repeat rate though:

and here's an even smaller Vortex Race 2, it comes with a green backlight but no repeat rate either:

You can do the spamming with the Ducky Shine 3s. Check out mechanicalkeyboards.com

Look the the Ducky Shine 3 TKL for more portability. Plus you can find a lot of the Blue Switches with loads of different LEDs

I highly recommend the K70 with Blue switches. I know that means it has a blue backlight, but if it bothers you that much just wait for the RGB version. They are very, very solid feeling keyboards. The media keys are nice. I prefer my G710+, but I like brown switches haha.
