Pretty sure i chose windows 11 pro, what is windows 11 pro for workstations?

i even noticed my copy of windows doesnt want to activate when i sign into my account

I cant remember i got it a long time ago but it would work everytime i install windows, can i just keep the os for gaming and light productivity or will it be worse than win 11 pro?

The Windows is activated with 11 Pro for Workstations key? Or it's not activated at all?

If it's not activated, the reinstall and activation with regular Pro key should work.

it is not activated, honestly i dont wanna bother reinstalling my copy of windows, can i just keep it? im using it for gaming and light productivity, will it be worse than normal 11 pro?

Should be fine and if I read right from the Reddit thread, the for Workstations version just has couple of features regular Pro lacks.

If lack of any features of non-activated 11 won't bother you, then it's fine to use as it is I believe.

This is correct. You aren't "missing" anything in the workstation edition over the non-workstation edidtion. However if it's not activated you will not be able to personalize your desktop without third party tools or registry edits. You will also eventually get that watermark saying "activate windows" at the lower right corner of your screen. If it's a brand new install... now would be the best time to reinstall with your actual pro key, as it only gets more annoying to reinstall/configure everything as time goes on.
