XMP works just as good as EXPO

 

EXPO was released on 2022, XMP was released in 2007,

 

there's still chance the ram doesn't have EXPO profile but it's still EXPO compatible and might give you the option for EXPO

It'll work fine, but you're paying $200 White Tax on that board, basically.

 

Do you need a $360 X870E board for a 7800X3D when a $160 B650 will perform the same?

I think some vendors just use the "XMP" term as it is more widely known than "EXPO".
