I would like to upgrade (only) my graphics card in the near future. So I'm looking what to actually buy and would like to see what you'd suggest.

Budget (including currency): ~350EUR

Country: Latvia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: so that I can play modern games on high settings smoothly at 1080p, example, Borderlands 3 (and upcoming sequel).

A Radeon RX 7600 XT should fit right in that price range!  Massive upgrade over the RX570 you got 🙂

It also only draws 190w of power at 100% load so will work without problem with the 650w PSU you have.

If you are able to wait until Black Friday, you might find a decent deal too.

I think the best for you in terms of price to performance would be a 7700xt,but you also may want to upgrade your CPU. If so, then you should get something like a 5600 and a RX 6600.

Depends on the games they play, outside of going to a 5700x3D, I wouldn't personally recommend a drop in upgrade on a B450/2x8GB 3200MT/sec AM4 platform.

As other's have suggested, I would look at whatever RTX 4000 or RX 6000/7000 GPU fits within that range. You still might be able to find an RX 6800/XT for that price, but otherwise, a 7700 XT or RTX 4060ti. I'd steer towards RX 6000/7000 in that price range though since you really have to go to a minimum of an RTX 4070 to make RTX 4000 series worth it for normal consumers.

Where in Slovakia do you find the 7700 XT at 350 Euros?  All I see is 420+ Euros.  Quite over budget.

Edit. I meant Latvia.. Brain just stopped working for a second.

Yeah, I give general guidelines for that since I always assume a local will have a better understanding about the local retail and used market in their region.

In the US at least, the 7700 XT and RX 6800 fall nicely into that price range. Example at $370 USD which is 342 euro. The others were a suggestion that's close since I don't think the 7600 XT is worth the money.

Well, its cheaper than upgrading to a new platform.

Its a matter of value, AM4 is finally dying with Ryzen 9000's release. That's not because its bad, but because AMD has stopped supplying the market likely to force consumers to migrate to AM5.

Considering the CPUs worth buying are limited to the 5700x3D and 5800x3D, both of which are still pricey and hard to come by at a deal price now, I don't feel like sticking with AM4 is worth it overall. There was a golden period a few months ago where they were both great values, before Ryzen 9000 series released, which I assume drove customers back to 5000x3D as a better overall upgrade solution to jumping into 9000.

The lack of 5800x3D and even 7800x3D on the market tells me AMD is lining up to have most gamers jump onto the 9800x3D. Still though, I don't discount the value of a 5700x3D drop in upgrade for <$200, just not worth it if the budget for a CPU+dGPU is only 350 euro. If we were talking 500 euro, that would definitely be on the table.

Ok, that makes sense. But he does have a r5 3600...

Which is fine, Zen2 is still a great architecture and OP could probably see a significant bump in performance by just dialing in PBO. If he was playing nothing but LoL, WoW, Warframe, etc, then I would suggest skipping the dGPU upgrade and going for a 5700x3D.

Where the selection of games matters, since single player games are largely GPU bound and multiplayer games become increasingly CPU bound as the player and NPC count goes up. That CPU limited nature is almost entirely single core and cache/memory bandwidth limited too, why 3D v-cache excels at it.

Before I swapped to a handheld and eGPU, I had a 7950x3D that I did extensive testing of this, before that a 5800x3D.

Can't really do a 1:1 Conversion in terms of money unfortunately.

Prices here in Europe are significantly higher than in in the US.   I payed 1706 USD for a RTX 4080 on release with an 11% discount😭 This was a decent price.

The cheapest 7700 XT in a few Latvian websites I found would be 460 Euros and an RX 6800 would be 450 Euros.

Welcome to European prices =(

I agree, I've seen enough cases of such on these forums to assume so. I'm aware too of regional differences in pricing and available between AMD and Nvidia GPUs.

What about a 6700/6750 XT? I'd still take that over a 7600 XT personally.

Couldn't find any 6700 in the 3 websites I looked at.  One 6750 XT at 347 Euros.

Most stores in smaller European countries are sold out of older generation cards and do not hold stock due to the limited market.
They don't buy thousands of GPU's like stores in the bigger countries.

6700 XT not available anywhere, and the 6750 XT costs about the same as a 7600 XT.

Prices from German Amazon are a bit lower and the shipping cost is not that expensive. So might buy a 6750 XT from there.

I don't know if my current CPU might hold back that card a bit but I hope it'll be nothing major, that upgrade will have to wait until next year.

It will be fine 🙂  I had a friend who ran a 4070 Ti Super on a Ryzen 1700..  Yes it was a CPU bottleneck but she was still having a good time gaming.

6750 XT would be a nice card even with the Ryzen 3600.

Next year you update the BIOS and buy a 5700X3D 🙂

I would take a 6750 XT over a 7600 XT, the 7600 XT is a weird card similar to the 4060 ti 16GB. They're quadrupling up the memory bus, so even though its got more VRAM, its memory bandwidth is simply not high enough to make proper use of it. The 6750 XT's 12GB is plenty for 1080p and has the proper 192 bit bus to make effective use of it.
