RX 6700xt weird things

Hello, I've being having this weird issue on my RX 6700 XT. Firstly it won't display BUT when I put my old Vega 56 in and check DDU it shows that it installed drivers for it so I think that it's ports are broken.

So I've tried it on my friend's pc with a RX 6600 to test that theory and more weird things showed up.

1. It installed drivers, but when I check on furmark/blender/task manager nothing shows, only the 6600

2. Upon checking with GPU-Z, some fields are unknown or have like 0 of something.

Also I can flash vbios to it but still that.
Anyone know what the issue is?

The PC I've tested it on has a
-ryzen 5 2600
-MSI B350 Tomahawk
-16x2 3200MHZ RAM
-GPU AMD RX 6700XT/ SAPPHIRE RX 6600
-GIGABYTE P650B

Did you just bought this card?

If so, was it brand new and sold by a reputable store?

With both GPUs installed the RX 6700 xt not having all fields populated is kinda normal in this situation.

When you turn on the PC does the gpu display at all, like a post screen or the bios?

I'd recommend updating your motherboards bios to the latest version as well.

If still no display check for any motherboard post codes or led code (if your motherboard has them). And when you install it, boot to windows and get no display can you hear windows in the background?

Actually that msi board has those "ez bios led's". When the dp is connected to the 6700xt it will light up the VGA light on the motherboard and no display out but will post and actually "boot up" like keyboard will light up and will hear windows opening.

And when i put the dp on the 6600 the vga led on the motherboard will be gone and it will display on the monitor. and afer that it will be like normal and will end up to that on the given image. 6600 only showing in furmark/blender/task manager, and that gpuz info on the 6700xt

I think my theory on this is that since both of them are 6000 series cards they use the same drivers and if wherever the dp is plugged in it will only show that gpu???

Since my only goal for this is if that 6700xt only has broken ports and that's it, soo i can use an igpu as display out for it

Ohh sorry did not notice it. Anyways it was given to me months ago and was bought like 2 years ago from a physical store here in the Philippines and yes that store is highly reputable here

Unfortunately it was given to me with the warranty stickers broken already since he repasted it

Thanks for replying

I take it that you found the problem because you have a PC of your own to try out the 6700XT in the first place. Yes?

What are the specs of your own PC? You only told us about your friend's PC

What is the GPU that has been working without issue on your own PC?

I see

So you have been using the 6700XT without issue for months and this supposed display issue has only recently started happening. Yes?

Ok so what led you to suspect that the vbios had an issue and prompted you to flash it before asking for help?

I ask because GPU-Z is supposed to correctly display all the display adapter properties even when you have multiple cards installed at the same time. Its not uncommon to have an extra graphics card for work acceleration, but most of the checkboxes for Computing and Technologies support at the bottom of the GPUZ window are blank which is unusual.

This leads me to believe that the supposed display issue was caused by a failed physical component on the graphics card. Flashing the vbios might have only worsened things

Ok, the flashing of the vbios we did that like around the end of our troubleshooting of the card

Even at the start when it has it's original vbios it's already like that on the image, it's around the end when we tried to flash it's vbios

and after we've flash it and the same issues shown we just revert by flashing it's original vbios we've saved and we're

back to that on what's on the image

But yeah the answer to your question is we just assume it's the vbios but nothing really changed and just revert it back

soo yeah i think it's just a physical problem on the card but that gpu-z info is really weird
