Budget (including currency): ~1600 €

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: RDR2, Cyberpunk2077, Valorant

Info:

Hey everyone!

I'm currently on a Ryzen 5 3600X / RTX 3050 FHD 75Hz setup.

I'd like improved performance, go for at least 1440p gaming and at the same time convert to a smaller form factor.

This is what I came up with: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/bdH4Xk

If I am going to invest now, I'd like to be well off for the next couple years. In that light going for an AM4 board and just migrating my CPU and Memory wouldn't make a lot of sense, would it?

I'm especially not sure about the (price of the) PSU and storage but if you have any recommendations about optimizing the build at all, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance! 🙂

It would be better to use a memory kit that includes EXPO profiles, not just XMP.

While the PSU is good,it would be better to use a newer model that is ATX 3.x compliant.

I would go with a single 2TB NVMe drive.

No need for the 140mm Noctua fan. Front mount the PSU with 2x120 exhaust fans on top and 1x120 exhaust on the rear.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Thanks a lot for your answer and the suggestions!

Just a quick follow up question concerning the storage and fans:

I am - for some reason (still) - in the state of mind that having a smaller SSD for the OS and a bigger one for everything else brings a performance advantage; is that bs respectively so marginal that it doesn't really matter for gaming?

For the fans I was looking at the gamers nexus cooling benchmarks (I am aware that it isn't all that comparable because of the AIO / Air Cooler situation) and based on that was thinking 2 bottom (120mm) intakes, 1 top (120mm) and 1 rear (140mm) exhaust (and of course PSU mounted at the front). Does that seem sensible to you as well?

In a enthusiast system the difference is not noticeable.

I wouldn't bother with bottom fans as the GPU fans will do the job.

The rear mount is for a 120mm fan.

Oh, I missed that...

Thank you so much for the help!! c:
