MediaTek Wi-Fi 6 MT7921

Go to solution Solved by madseason,

Ok, I just swapped my ROG flow X16 - MT7922 with Intel 9260 - all works fine... as it was before, but there is no BIOS whitelist on it at least. 😄

So I have and ASUS TUF 15 Ryzen 7 laptop and just randomly I get sub 0.10Mb internet speed because my MediaTek just doesn't feel like working. I can literally usb tether my 2016 Samsung J7 Duo and have a better WIFI connection most of the time. It drives me F***ing crazy. What replacement should I look for and are the intel ones compatible?

Unless you have some whitelist in BIOS - intel should work fine.
I would check it on my x16 with ryzen, but I would need to dig it from XPS15 and there are so many screws in-between 😅

In XPS I have replaced Killer (I had some random issues with connection) with Intel AC 9260 - and it is flawless now.

I may do the same with x16, maybe over the weekend if I will have time to swap it.
