I was recently downloading a ton of .zip files and they were quite large I was wondering what would be quicker downloading one at a time or all of them at once? i understand if you download one at a time you can use the first files quicker than waiting but i don't see a point in that.

It depends. If the server that you download the files restrict each file download request to a speed lower than your internet speed cap, then yes downloading more than one would be faster (until you saturate your speed). But if the server upload speed is faster than your download speed cap, then either way would download as fast.

If at all possible, queue them to go one after another. Otherwise as many as possible at once without throttling your internet connection every couple moments.

For me, this means ~20 simultaneous downloads max.
