Crashing

David123434

Hi,

I dont know if im posting this in the right area, but my guess is that my problem is related to GPU.
For the past month my pc been getting blue screen errors, which i thought it was fine due to the error message being related to disk management ( at the time i had 2 separate OS on the same SSD )
I was using a custom OS at the time so i thought it was just that glitching out, this happened like once a week.
However in the past 2 days, it became a Black screen now, where both of my monitors goes completely black, and my GPU fan goes to 100%, ( Im guessing its that, i wasnt able to make sure, but when i researched it, other people said it was their gpu fan ) and it stays like that until i hit the restart button on my pc or force shut down.
This happened atleast 10 times just today, the fastest one being after me factory resetting, installing everything, launching MINECRAFT and then my pc crashing.

What i done to try and fix the problem ( none of it worked so far);
- Deleted  both systems so now im on a completely new one
- Factory reset with USB
- Using official windows OS ( 1909 )

Specs:
Intel Core i7 7700
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti
Z170-Gaming K3-CF Motherboard
Samsung SSD 870 EVO 500GB

Have you noticed any artifacting in the past couple months? Like weird blocks on colors on the display?
Try plugging your display into the motherboard and disconnecting the GPU. If it still crashes it's definetly not the GPU's fault.
Could you provide us with the BSOD error codes so we can guess what it could be further?

I haven't noticed anything like that
And i can not provide the error code since my screen just goes completely black, its not even a blue screen anymore

try another hard-drive,  some of those evo 870 are faulty and since you previously got error messages about disk management that's my best guess for now.

If you didn't catch the BSOD display, information about the crash can be found in in System event log (viewable in the Event Viewer, eventvwr.msc). Error events from the BugCheck source contain the bugcheck code, the parameters, and the path to the dump file on the General tab. Critical events from the Kernel-Power source contain the code and parameters in the EventData section of the Details tab.
