I would only like your opinion on if you feel this raidbox would do a good job or another. All of the reviews for Mediasonic are awesome, so even though this is probably unnecessary I always like to double check with a community. I feel I need more posts in helping others and getting help. I need to do some more useful things than just post my awesome build logs, lol.

I just want your opinion on the raidbox. I wanted something smaller and cheaper to make, felt that this was the way to go besides building a server/homenas. I am in an apartment complex so a Ethernet cables and such just will not work running through the hallway.

I was looking at the Sans Digital but when comparing that name to Mediasonic is just seemed crappy.

WD and Seagate both make the best hard drives. I will decide which when the time comes on which I will get but I listed them both for now.

Overall that enclosure is sexy as hell, hard drives are good, but i'm not sure exactly what you're using it for so I can't really give you an opinion if it'll be good for your use or not.

Just the normal stuff, storage, streaming 1080p movies/tv shows, blu-ray copies.

Well if you were to use that second computer you have sata2 should work just fine. I mean if you're streaming uncompressed 1080P that may be a problem, blu-ray may be a bit choppy or need a second to load, but otherwise it'd be ok. I mean using that mediasonic raidbox would be a better option in your situation just because it's more convenient to setup and use.

I would not be able to handle choppy.

This is an extra PC I have laying around

This is the setup that I have:

GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-S2

AMD FX-4100

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

ASUS Internal Blu-ray Drive

BitFenix Ghost

CORSAIR CXM series CX430M 430W

Well like you said it uses sata2 to connect to the HDD's, plus computers can't go usb to usb(without an adapter and it's just annoying), so you'd either have to use a crossover cable with a network share, or do it over your router(I know you said you don't want to do ethernet cables so you'd have to have a good wireless N signal), so in this case the raidbox would probably be the easier option.
