That's weird, you've tried everything I would have suggested.  Are you certain it's not set to "default output" or something like that?  The system could be confused on what default is supposed to be.  If that's not it I'm at a complete loss.

....Have you checked their individual volumes?  I'm just grasping for straws now.  Perhaps the output volume for voice chat is turned down? It has to be that voice chat is turned down somewhere.  Dunno man, let us know if you figure it out.  That's incredibly frustrating.

nah even when i had literally only one output (monitor speakers disabled in device manager) it wouldnt work. all volumes all the way up. no user was muted for me and i wasnt server muted or deafened; it even did it in dm calls. i fully shut down the machine (fast startup disabled in power button options), unplugged from wall, windows update, nothing would work.

thankfully after a day or two it just fixed itself and i had to do literally nothing. still suggest going back to the good old days of throwing rocks at each other.

yesterday everything was fine, but today i cant hear anyone in voice chat? they can hear me. i havent changed my audio settings in over a year. i checked to make sure my default output was what it was supposed to be and made sure discord had it selected as its output. i can hear everything else perfectly fine. i can hear all the discord notification bloops just fine. its literally just peoples voices i cant hear. i can see their green circle light up when they talk. i can see mine when i talk. the most baffling thing is that doing the mic test i can hear myself just fine.

ive reinstalled my audio software and discord. ive tried browser discord. ive tried all the audio subsystems; standard, legacy and experimental. ive disabled all attenuation settings. nothing works. is discord just completely broken now and we can finally go back to just sending each other letters in the mail?
