Hello! I plan on traveling domestically in the US soon, and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or experiences with taking the Scribedriver through TSA security in a carry-on. I thought about taking it apart and storing the different parts in different sections (actual ink in a ziplock bag), not sure if that would work though. Maybe I should just bring the classic Pilot G2 and call it good.

Let me know what you think!

Metal and tactile pens are allowed. Scribedriver is fine.

Tactical pens are not allowed. Scribedriver is NOT a tactical pen.

Yeah they were originally designed to give women more options for concealed self-defense, esp for areas with high crime and poor self defense laws.

It writes in BLOOD!!!

(They're pens that mostly just include a semi-sharp spike primarily intended for breaking through car window glass or jabbing at an attacker in an emergency.)

[Edited to add the canonical example, a pen sold at nearly every website under a variety of different names.  I've even seen it in bookstores.]
