Budget (including currency): 1500-2000€

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly story games like Ghost of Tsushima, Souls likes, also some multiplayer games like Valorant or Helldivers.

Programs i´d like to run are some aerodynamic simulations because of some projects i wanna do.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Going to take my old nvme ssd and hdd from my old pc into the new one (partpicker list is an example of what i am planning), for resolution 4k would be nice at 120hz or higher, vr should be playable too (i own a psvr2 planning on buying the adapter). Also a mATX is preferred, don´t really want another big pc.

Thanks for answers in advance.

From what I understood you already have the SSD and HDD? If so you can get make a better PC with under 2k budget. I would still go AMD even if you need the multicore performance, the 7950x should be better, because it too has 16 cores, but all of them are performance. I changed the RAM to a cheaper and better one, the power supply, and the GPU to a 4080 super, but if you don't need better performance a 4070 super would be fine too

though i dont agree with the pricey warrantyless psu and there are plenty of cheaper and better units cause for whatever reason the cheapest unit with a 10 year warranty is the rm850x at 88€ which is pretty funny for a usually pricey psu

otherwise its pretty much perfect

thanks for the help, i was thinking about staying with amd, a friend of mine really wanted to convince me to switch to intel. The build looks perfect, i switched the psu with the one that somerandomtechyboi mentioned, aswell as the gpu, i put the 4070 super in there. if y´all have any other tips or recommendations, i´m open for it. Again thanks for the quick replies

88€ is a joke for a used rm850x, those can be found for 50€ on a real used market

since thats a sham theres still the c850 at around the same price as the a850gl but has a 10 year warranty
