Budget (including currency): $1000-$1500 USD

Country:  US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Fortnite,MSFS,COD, Minecraft, Excel.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

It's been over 12 years since my last build, and i'm looking at starting a new build to meet my needs. I am wanting to build a PC that is small but still is relatively quiet, any recommendation on cases or form factors to use like ATX, or mini-ITX? would be helpful I've got no clue what the best budget components are like Intel vs AMD so any guidance on that would be helpful. Thanks a bunch.

What are your preferences with the case?

Small footprint but tall, cubic, shoebox, flat like an old console or something traditional pc tower ish?

mITX is awesome! I regret nothing (apart from when picking parts or have to do maintainance *cough*cough*)

I guess more shoebox like, I was looking at the Asus AP201 and it looks like it is pretty recommended by people.
