Laptop for game development / school

Hi, sorry for the trouble.

I recently purchased a laptop for a college game development course and general use. I inquired about specs, and this is the list I was given:

 

Average:

CPU: Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 7 7700

GPU: NVidia RTX 3070 Ti or  AMD RX 6800

HDD: at least 1TB of Storage capacity

 

Best:

CPU: Intel Core i9 or AMD  Ryzen 9 7900

GPU: NVidia RTX 4070 Ti or AMD RX 7900 XT

HDD: at least 2TB of Storage capacity

 

I'd primarily be using Unity & visual studio 2022. Probably a fair bit of multi-tasking. Maybe some art programs as well.

 

After I purchased a laptop from Walmart, I was checking the graphics card & CPU again, and saw some posts online about how the CPU for the ASUS A16 I purchased was pretty much just a Ryzen 6 series, among some other things. This made me doubt my decision slightly. Here's the machine I purchased; It was $999 CAD at the time, before tax.

I'm very happy with the appereance, and everything else seems to be working great. However; I found another Gigabyte laptop for the exact same price from Canada Computers with an Intel CPU and NVIDIA GPU instead of AMD. I was just curious if that would be a better decision, as I can still return the first laptop until mid next month. Userbenchmark was saying the AMD was definitely worse, but I also saw some stuff online about their benchmarks being questionable, so I'm not sure, sorry. Any insight is really appreciated.
