Inconsistent CPU Temp

Go to solution Solved by svmlegacy,

This looks like very normal behaviour for a Zen based CPU.

Recently I noticed this weird inconsistency in the temperature of the CPU where it fluctuates by around 10°C. The gaps between the spikes can vary from very close to more spread out as shown in the images. Other than this temps seem fine and there is no obvious reason to me that could be causing these spikes.

I appreciate any help.

Specs:

CPU - 3800X

Cooling - EK 360mm AIO

GPU - ASUS ROG 3080

PSU - 850W

RAM - 16GB

What is your fan curve, and background apps? It could be that the fan curve is steep at this temperature which makes those weird temp spikes, or that there are background apps causing this. Either way this is a really low temperature, so this isn't an issue in any way

My fan curve for the rad is set up so they spin around 600-700 rpm at idle then start to ramp up at 65°C. As far as background apps being the cause, I ended the obvious ones such as iCUE and wallpaper engine but there could be other ones I'm missing.
