That "silver" was just thrown in there because whoever filled in the product info had a box that they couldn't leave blank for some reason. As @Poinkachu said, this can be disregarded.

Can you include links? I've never heard of anyone refering to an AMD CPU as "silver."

 

"Black" used to be a thing back in the FX and earlier days when there were "Black Editions" that specified that a chip was designed for overclocking, but that hasn't been used on any Ryzen CPUs as far as I know.

this is thru best buy but I also seen the black version and it was the wrong CPU but still.

It's just bestbuy being moron, or atleast their website is

 

The spec page of that 5700x3d has it's color listed as Silver, and it has Silver at the end of the product title.

The spec page of a 5900x in that website has it's color listed as Black, and it has Black at the end of the product title.
