Worth it?

So I have been wondering if its worth the time to replace the thermal compound on a reference GTX 770 and apply NT-H1 instead. 

But should I wait till the EVGA ACX coolers are available for purchase again before doing such a thing?

No real need unless its thermals are going up and there is some issue, you arent going to get any more performance and risk damaging your card/warranty if anything goes wrong

I've had the card for about 2 months now but its something I've been pondering since the 3 year warranty that I have from Nvidia is still good even it the Cooler is removed. Also the EVGA ACX cooler that was available for purchase was for the reference design cards. I guess I'm just trying to figure out something before the summer heat wave hits my state.

Just do it when you get your ACX cooler, as you'll have to clean the old off and put a fresh bit of compound on then.

I recoomend the prolimatech mk26, from what ive seen so far its better then the EVGA offering. Arctic cooler make some great vga coolers as well.

I would definitely wait then otherwise you are going to end up doing it twice as you'll need to do it again when you buy the coolder.

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong but this should work on a reference design GTX 770 even though its meant for the GTX Titan Black?

Can you put an aftermarket cooler on a reference card? I didn't know that.
