Do you know about the ongoing voltage problem with most 13th and 14th gen Intel cpu?

You could wait until Intel has released their microcode update somewhere mid august. As soon as you've built it then update bios and use Intel's baseline profile.

Or you could go for a good 12th gen Intel, might get one cheap.

Or go AMD instead.

Another thing is most home users doesn't need Win 11 Pro. You could save some more if you bought Home edition instead.

I usually edit my posts.

Wow yeah just searched this up

To be honest with you I have only ever used intel CPU's, so I wouldn't even know where to start with AMD

are the 12th gen cpus that different from 13th gen performance-wise?

@EwanStpdI agree what are you looking to do with this PC?

Just looking for a good PC to have for a while and play a whole range of games on, though mostly CS2.

I haven't really had the opportunity to run modern games on my last PC since it was outdated, so I'd love to try out modern games aswell

your budget allows for fastest gaming CPU created, which is from AMD, the only advantage Intel has is multi-core performance, which depending on game is close to 0 advantage, since some games barely use multiple cores

@EwanStpdWhen are you buying the PC because idk if that 4080 deal will still have the deal and if the sale goes away then you can look at a 7900xtx which can be on par with the 4080 super in some games

Likely tomorrow or wednesday, yeah looking at it now looks like a today only deal.

Avoid Cooler Master psu's and look for a full size ATX board. btw make sure your choice of psu is ATX 3.0 due to the adapter for these RTX 40XX cards.
