I’m a design student and I’m looking to buy a 3D scanner to help with my design assignments. My budget is $1000. I need to scan small items like brooches and rings, so high accuracy is a must. Also, the scanner has to work with my current computer, a Dell G3, as I don’t plan to upgrade my computer anytime soon. If the scanner requires a high-end computer, it won’t be suitable for me.

I’ve narrowed it down to three options and would love some advice:

This one fits my budget, has good reviews, and even offers a student discount.

This one exceeds my budget, but this one can scan without needing to connect to a computer, making it suitable for on-the-go use. It also offers a student discount.

Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
