Delta PSU

Hi, I had a Seasonic B12 BC-550w PSU for a year and a half, and two weeks ago when I tried to turn on the PC, smoke came out of the PSU. Now i got an old Delta PSU

will it be enough for this system?

Rx 550 2gb

Yes that should be enough.

So, RX 550 draws 50W and recommended is 250W PSU, i5 2400 draws roughtly 100W,

 

this means both RX 550 and CPU draw roughly 150W,

 

the only issue is the 12V rails practically powers everything, not by itself but substantially it's one of the biggest factors, it powers both CPU and GPU and more,

 

not sure how exactly though,

itll do fine for now and as long as you stick with that rx 550 itll do fine just that you can probs get 30$ for that rx 550 and another 10-20$ would get you an rx 570/580 4gb/8gb which will be much faster (gtx 1060 ish)

 

as for when you gpu upgrade id look at a replacement unit as theres plenty of cheap used psus thatd be better than a shitty lowend dual rail unit otherwise that psu will be fine with a cpu and gpu that barely draw any power
