I recently built a new pc for a friend and I’m having some issues. Every once in a while the pc will either turn off or just have the screen go black. When we turn it on, the indicator lights show the GPU as the error. I don’t know what’s wrong with it.

Specs: ryzen 5 7600x

Cooler master hyper 622

corsair vengeance rgb 32gb(2x16) 6000mt/s

gigabyte b650 eagle ax

gigabyte aero rtx 4060

corsair rm650 (2023)

nzxt h6 flow

the only thing I’ve changed in the bios is enabling xmp. It runs windows 11 home.
thanks for the help!

check event viewer after a crash and see if it points to anything specific.

You can always try a complete DDU wipe and reinstall to see if it helps.

Thanks for the info! When I get a chance, I'll try that and see what happens.

GPU may be faulty and causing the PSU protections to trip.  Since it's bypassing the BSOD error and going directly to OFF.... may be worth looking at.  Try another GPU if you can get your hands on one from a friend.

Thanks for the info. I have a couple GPUs I can swap in and try, I'll post an update or something if I have any more problems.
