I am curious about getting into AROS as a Linux user. Eric W Schwartz is the only reason I even know that Amiga exists along with AROS. Watching the few videos actually showing AROS reminds me of a weird mish-mash of Mac OS and Windows that somehow looks better than both. How is using Amiga and AROS or other Amiga-like operating systems different from Linux?

I think it would be cool if AROS had a software manager like Ubuntu so it could have its own unique apps in free repositories.

I probably wouldn’t daily drive a Amiga based OS, it’s somewhere between GNU+Linux and templeOS in terms of software support, but MUCH closer to the latter.
