Hello Internet, I am attempting to run install Steam through Winebottler on my M2 Macbook Air (8 gig RAM, 256 gig storage)  keep getting an error code and a debug log I will link it here so you can see. Can someone advise me on my next steps? (Ps: if you want me to write it out so you don't have to open it on your computer I will.)

Not having much of any idea really, wouldn't running x86 binaries on an ARM system be a problem?

You need a second layer of translation from x86 to ARM. Look into the Game Porting toolkit released by Apple and projects based on that. As-is, you can only run ARM Windows applications, which there are actually a fair few but Steam is not one of them.

To answer @thevictor390, is that not what Rosetta does for Mac?

To answer @Electronics Wizardy,  I probably am but, can you name me a VM built for performance that is not parallels?

To answer @AbydosOne, probably I wouldn't know this is my first time with an arm-based system.

I don't have a Mac and never have, but the error message you are getting is pretty clear that it's failing to "convert" to your CPU type. The Winebottler page doesn't seem to have been updated since Mojave and makes no mention of Apple Silicon compatibility. In my limited (work) experience Mac OS is absolutely terrible for backwards compatibility. You need a modern project. Recently Apple introduced a development kit partially using WINE and partially using their own graphics elements, and it was seemingly a pretty big step forward in Mac gaming. I would check this project out https://getwhisky.app/ and maybe check out https://www.reddit.com/r/macgaming/
