Hi guys.

I purchased 2 PSUs in uknown condition (BQ Dark 12 Pro 1000 W- probably used for crypto mining and Thermaltake ThoughPower G1 650 W).

Since I am too lazy and lack of time to dismantle my old PC and try those PSU with its parts, I would like to try on parts with whom I am currently building PC (much more expensive parts).

What is the worse case scenario if those PSUs are bad, could those particular PSUs potentially  damage parts of PC that I am currently building?

Please do not take offence for my apparent confusion or rudeness,it's not intent me to be like that,it's just my BPD,be nice to me,and I'll return twice better,be rude and usually I get easly pissed of...I'll try to help anyone here,as long as it's something I dealt with, and even if you think I'm rude or not polite, forgive me,  it's not me it's my BPD.

Thanks for understanding.

if they catastrophically fail and you are unlucky and they manage to kill components (pretty damn rare) then yes the potential is there

but if theyre dead probs just wouldnt turn on at all and nothings actually gonna happen so unless you are really unlucky you dont really have anything to worry about

dont have to dismantle the thing

just take out the 24pin and the 8pin(s) and hook them up to the psu you want to test

thatd be much easier than dissasembling the thing and itd work just fine for testing if the psu is dead or not

Tried one and works okay.

Though it only has one EPS connector (one EPS cable for CPU).

As for BQ Dark Power 12 Pro I did not understand markings on connectors that should plug into eps connector.

I pictured them but did not plug since I was anxious and feared to try it.

Picture is left on my second phone, so will post later in the day.
