So I found this case online a month or two ago and I had to have it especially with it being free as well, I had done some research into the case and I'm sure I can remember finding something about it somewhere but for the life of me I cant find it anywhere now and I know it was very hard to find last time.

So Guys and Girls I have a couple of questions please only answer them if your serious and actually know what your sayings is correct / relevant please! I really do appreciate you taking the time to read this and and research you may do or not ether way just trying to find out more about it well hopefully anyway! The closest I've found so far is the Alienware area 51 7500.

So the Questions are as follows:

  1. What case is this.
  2. Should I retro build it - so it would be an old school true to era piece
  3. Full modern day upgrade as it has so many places to put extras unlike a lot of cases
  4. Its so rare someone wants to give me Bread for it or it should go into a museum (genuinely no idea)

Please let me know what your thoughts are and if you know the case please comment i kinda want to know!!!

Thank you so much everyone even if you just read this i appreciate it!

Top handle seems to be included with the case, but arrives uninstalled.

Based on those links, it strikes me as one of "free to use" designs that can be chosen when a company orders a pc case from a factory in china.

Depends on what you meant by "Modern Day Upgrade", no?

Because one thing for sure, there will be barely any airflow.

Unless you plan to take off the front door, remove all bay covers and put fans inside the cage. Ofc

But yea, still depends on what you meant by modern day upgrade, at most you'll put 2 fans in top cage, which is far from GPU.

Extra what? 5.25" and 3.5" bays ?

I knew I had found it before THANK YOU I really appreciate it I had the thought in my head something to do with vampires as well lol but kinda told myself it wasn't for this hey ho...

So when it comes to building in this case it has more draw backs then anything weather its air flow or the non existent cable management areas (I mean there is going to be options for this but its going to be janky non the less) what I was thinking was just going for pure versatility with 4 5.25" bays and 2 3.5" bays which can be used externally and the 4 3.5" drive bays (or 6x depending on if wanted to use 2 as hot swap) this could be a brilliant nas/media server/ low level production pc if I can figure something with the air flow aside from taking the 2 side panels off lol...… Food for thought though and still welcome to ideas if anyone has any however I'm not willing to cut the case up or anything along that line id rather go down the fanless passive route then cut it up haha.

Thank you again i really appreciate your quick response to this 🙂

Looks like a generic cheap early 2000's PC case with some plastic cladding tacked on. Popular 20-25 years ago. I wouldn't go near it, its hideous.

EDIT

Along the same lines but one I actually prefer are the Alienware badged Chieftec Dragon's from the same era. Much cleaner.

Pretty sure that solutions that doesn't include using up the 5.25" cages will mean either/and :

1. drilling holes on side panels/bottom/top

2. Taking off side panels

3. DIY a side panel with air holes

IMO, The only saving grace of that case is the handle for ease of relocation.

But yeah that only if the handle is good enough to withstand the weight of the case + a lot of drives, and if one really need to relocate the system that often.

#4.... Not sure if you've been watching too much Pawnstars or what, but there isn't some deep market for rare collectable PC stuff.  There are the occasional people that get some nostalgia and pay a little more for something but there isn't some OMFG I found it!!!!!!!  type of thing to make you phat banc.

Cuz that case is an old ass no longer used design, basically a piece of crap.  You couldn't pay me to use it.
